Lenten Services


Ash Wednesday, March 6

7:00 pm

Glenolden Congregational Church, Scott Ave. will host this joint service with the members Prospect Hill Baptist Church and Glenolden Congregational Church


Continuing on Wednesdays, six area Lutheran churches are sharing worship as we  prepare for Easter with cooperative Wednesday evening soup suppers followed by vesper services with a meditation. The supper begins at 6:30 and includes soup, salad and dessert. Worship begins at 7:30 pm. The offering will be donated to Lutheran Refugee and Immigration Services.  All worshipers are welcome. The schedule and location of each of the five services is listed below:

March 27 – St. Timothy, Lamp Post Lane, Aston. The meditation by Pastor Kristine Peterson on 1 Corinthians 12:12-27

April 3 – St. Johns, Glen Ave. Folcroft. The meditation by Pastor Wende Bleam on Romans 12:3-5. This service includes anointing for healing for all interested worshipers.

April 10 - Holy Trinity, Providence Rd., Wallingford. The meditation by Pastor Jenn Casey on Psalm 90. This service includes Holy Communion which is open to all Christians.


Maundy Thursday, April 25

7:00 pm 

Immanuel will host this joint service with the members Prospect Hill Baptist Church and Glenolden Congregational Church


Good Friday, April 26

7:00 pm

Prospect Hill Baptist Church, Prospect Park,  will host this joint service with trhe members of Glenolden Congregational Church and Immanuel

Donations of your used ink cartridges have saved the church hundreds of dollars in office supplies. Please continue in the spirit of recycling and at the same time help the church offset the cost of our paper products! Leave any used cartridges in the designated box in the Hospitality area.
